On the flip side

Well, counting pennies of positivity amidst the bullions of bad news could well be the intent of this post. Many a thing that one may actually wish out loud, have all been happening in this lock down.
Working from home had long been privy to mostly IT folks and not ops. With the present situation, I could see companies scampering to shift even desktops to employee’s home to ensure connectivity. People who often crib about commute to office (Yeah..itsh me) have their wish fulfilled. Those who aspire to spend quality time with their family, have their wish full filled. Wives get to know what actually their hubbies do in office all day long (definitely not the positive penny). Kids get the best of the lot, getting passed to next level with no exams and extended holidays, even though they can’t go out. Husbands get their dream desire when the mega serials get stopped (the best penny of the lot) even though the satan’s minions find a way to start re-runs of so called superhit serials (not a penny more or less here). No shopping means credit cards can heave a sigh of relief and no stress of deciding which vacation spot to pick for holidays. No stress of Mondays is the biggest penny for all office goers, for weekends are indistinguishable from weekdays. For those who like Big boss reality show, little would they’ve realized their own life would become like a show of its own. And for all those conspiracy buffs who were plotting the theme of world war 3, with its roots from China, at least they got that part right. But the mystery missile being the invisible one is something no one would’ve guessed I think. It is literally back breaking and I couldn’t wait to share the same complaint from a  seat provided by office.

Thats a lot of pennies. Might even add up to a pound.

Why does Gilsu not like mega serials ? Considering that he has reviewed and professed to being a fan of some of them, especially of the English variety.

Please watch all Tamil movies made from 1950 to 1960 and write a review of each of them.

had a good laugh at your penny analogy. Pun at its best.

coincidentally, my post yesterday was on how i am managing to stay positive during the lock down period.

We all are truly blessed Gils - we have a roof over our head, enough food, modes of entertainment, a job, and from amidst all these comforts, we can sit and blog about the lockdown period. There are many whose lives are going through tremendous hardships because of this. Hoping all of us will get through this together.
