Of tales and tribulations

Wifey: “Arisi upma panna saapduvingala”
Me: “Yaar pannalum saapduven”

That goes with a typical look which is accompanied by unmentionables in comics, with a balloon mind voice picturing danger symbols and other regular expressions. Her biggest worry is Junior picking on the mokkais. He is very keen to watch out for any different tones in conversations and has a knack for picking the mokkai ones quicker. Ever since I had to wfh, my worry was how will junior take it. I was wondering if he would ever allow me to take calls and open laptop. For it involves two things he is very fond of – mobile and laptop. But, touchwood, he had taken things really well and has been extremely supportive as well. Whenever I say I have to close the door to take calls, he would wave me bye and whenever I used to step out for a bit, he would ask me is office work done to make sure if I can join him for playing. Nowadays, he has started his own “office” hours and tasks. He would say that he has office work to do, if anyone calls him for eating or sleeping. He would play with his toys, enact all Jurassic park movie scenes with self-dubbing for all of the toys and call them as his office tasks. He wouldn’t allow anyone to disturb him and would be very “seriously playing”. The taboo word for him is “sleep”. The moment someone mentions THE word, he would run away from that place and would hide behind anyone standing or sitting. After ensuring he manage to delay the sleeping time to the extent possible, we would somehow manage to drag him to bed. The minute he lies down, his mom has to tell him “Ramayam”. He would interrupt every sentence of the story and would somehow include dinosaurs into the scene. Instead of them flying on pushpaka vimana it would often be  a pterodactyl and the rakshasas would include Tyrannosaurus rex. He would tire himself out to sleep every day, shuttling between us and his grandma’s place, which often goes on till 1 AM. Wonder how we are going to get back to the old routine when the new normal expires!!!

Lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of love. Pushpaka vimana is boring. Rex and Pterodactyl are great to fly on! We demand and order a audio recording of the narration!

Ditto Similar scene here- but . I'm worried about going back to work after the lockdown ends

Completely endorse à®®ிகிà®°். Demand audio recording !

The same scene is being repeated in countless households. Kids are playing WFH, complete with ordering others not to disturb. What has the world come to :)

It is PFH.. Playing from home

Ah, that's something, kids playing WFH. Now the adults need to set an example there too.

And I am just imagining the plight of your better half, with all your mokkai's

Best romantic dialogues..EVER

Love and Freedom of expression in times of Sena wud've been apt title for this post :) Thought i would watch MNIK and post its review to show my protest. Since i couldn't i settled for watching re-runs of the usual mushy movies which they show year after year in Star and HBO. I was waiting for Nottinghill, Harry met sally, Autumn in NY, Sweet November, You've got mail and Pretty woman. Surprisingly except for the last one, none of the other movies featured in any of the channels!!! Maybe the channel guys themselves got bored :D Anyways..these movies have become part and parcel of my movie watching gene that i've mugged up most of their dialogues by now :D Here are some for you to cherish and enjoy. Without googling..let me see how many of these you can identify and how many more you could add :) " I love that you get cold when it's 71 degrees out, I love that it takes you an hour and a half to order a sandwich, I love that you get a little crinkle above your no...

Vinnai thaandi varuvaayaa--review

Before the movie review..makkalay..pona posta pathutu mothama naan blog worldlenthu apeet aagarennu santhosha patta makkaluku..ungala avlo easya nimmathia iruka udra idea lethandi :) Uncanny sonna mathiri thirutu proxy ushaar panra velaila theevirama eranga vendi thaan :D Now for the review. This is not a once-in-a-life-time-never-before-told story sort of a movie. Inum solanumna..its so simple that, i can bet you there would be atleast one friend in your gang whose life story would match frame by frame with this one. The story is so simple..dialogues so natural..no major twists (Except for the ending..grrrrrrr). Apramum intha padathula pudikara mathiri enna iruku?? Well..to me..i felt the natural nature of the movie is its strength. No hype..over the top emotions..unwanted sentiments..everything is measured. Gautam menon even pokes fun at himself at some scenes. Its a simple tamil Hindu tenant boy, who is aspiring movie director, falling in love with Mallu christian landlord's gir...
