Throughout my childhood (which is running on extra time till date :) ) i've feasted on a steady diet of mythological stories.
Be it Indian,Egyptian,Roman,Chinese,Nordic...i relish them. Ellathulayumay nature worship would be the theme. Sun god..moon god..tree gods..god for love..nymphs..angels..demons..ella oor mythslayum same set of characters. Thats one amazing thing across the civilisations isnt it? Spread across multiple continents when the knowledge of the other tribe didnt even exist..their gods of worship has been so common. Surprising thing is..when the tribes were not in contact and were worshipping nature..there were no war over religion. Every one was devoted and doting on the power of nature. The day when individuals were seen as messiahs, the angels to lead to heaven..all hell broke loose instead. Anyways...the intention behind this post is something else.
All myth stories have one thing in common. Good triumphing over Bad. GOOD will always be a lazy one to begin with..snoozing in the comforts achieved by being good. The "TO BE" Bad will be seen busy doing penance and rituals and punishing itself to remain on track for achieving its ultimate goal. So startingla kathaiya paatha..GOOD will actually be badly behaving and will be getting penalised and punishments for its wrong deeds. Antha timela victim BAD a paatha paavama thaan irukum. But once BAD gets its boons and powers..it will wreak vengeance on GOOD and will begin its reign. It will do exactly the same things which GOOD would've done before. GOOD in the mean time will run to the God who gave powers to BAD and will beg forgiveness. God will take pity on GOOD and will wait like USA till the time BAD becomes really BAD. When BAD grows from strength to strength and begins to question the "hegemony" of God..God will decide its high time the status quo is brought back in position and will destroy Bad.
Intha storieslenthu solra moral ennamo..one should, be good , do good..ilaati ummachi kanna kuthirumngaratha irunthalum..both GOOD and BAD do equally BAD and GOOD things. Apdi irukarachay..why people take stances saying GOOD is actually GOOD and BAD is the ultimate baddie?? Moral of the storynu varachay people take sides. Favouritsm itself is a bad virtue ilaya? Aprum padikarathu ramayanam idikarathu perumal kovil kanakka ila aiduthu. Naama padichi thappa artham panikarathu matumilama..kuttisku solli kudukarachayvum..Ravanan kettavan..arakkan apdinu thaan solromay thavira..we dnt actually teach kids the whole picture. Pirakalathula avangalay thelivagi terinjikara situation varapo they begin to question the wisdom behind the teachings. Again those are seen as blasphemy and are condemned.
So simble ka matter ennana...kathaiaya kathaiaya padinga. Character base panni paakatheenga. Ramarum thappu panirukaru..Ravananum nallathu panirukar. Thappu yar pannalum thappu thaan and same goes for right also.

On a serious note, completely agreed on the content. It is human nature to err, and as my boss always says,"no matter the number of mistakes you do, do as much, but be ready to accept and change. only then you are on the right path". So, agreed nobody is completely good/bad.
Infact, till date, I cannot agree Pandavas being portrayed as 'good'. Karnan, yes!! Pandavas, no!! They did a series of mistakes and never regretted about any of them.
