26/11- (un)just another day..

People world over are reminded of eternal love when they think of the Taj, except some who still carry the torch of fraternal hate, burning their own houses in the process. The hotel burned like hot hell, this very same day, last year. Guess, the Taj hotel folks would have done some soul searching to rethink their operating mantra on being hospitable. I am sure sending their guests to hospitals didnt exactly figure in their scheme for hospitality.

Find the above lines sarcastic? Well..what else can one feel, watching the very guy, who killed so many compatriots of mine, in cold blood, with the entire world for witness, staying hale and healthy (36 Crores have been spent so far to keep him alive, as per TOI estimate) just a few kms away from where i am, in the very same city, where he let loose the carnage. I fail to understand what more proof our judiciary is looking for. May be they are searching for words to frame a "sentence" for him??!! This guy is not even a soldier but his act is nothing short of war. Except that he doesn't deserve to be treated like a POW.

Wat cud be more ironic that 26/11 falls during Thanksgiving!! Let me guess what and all things we should be thankful for. Being lucky to be alive?? That there has not been another attack YET?? I am not suggesting anything as a solution here..to do this or that and get a quick fix solution to this. But what irritates me to the core is that, when a crime is committed in front of whole world for witness, what the heck is the need to have all this drama??!! Saying all this, i used to be a person who was totally against capital punishment. I strongly believed that, no judiciary however unbiased it is, has any damn right to take anyones life. But given the situation i would mind throwing this guy to the victims. Let them take their pound of flesh. At times eye for eye makes sense.

If they do throw him away, even I want to have my share of torturing him .. I never thought I would ever say this in life .. but can't help :(

well we are waiting for evidence, sequence of events that led to the gory act, background information. While we are waiting, we are also doing very laudable stuff like shoving reports back and forth, playing the blame game with worthy neighbours and ohh ya, in the bargain spending only about 36 crores of the exchequer to maintain a cold blooded murderer..

we will talk, and consider and wax eloquent about diplomatic ties and the likes and meanwhile, the country will be held to ransom by some really 'sick in the head individuals'..

we were never known to take action, we just love to procastinate.. at what cost?? time will tell

We Indians have had too much freedom and is misused to the extent possible. Once upon a time, used to abhor Israel for their strikes against Palestine (liked Yasser Arafat, maybe a Lawrence of Arabia influence), but unless we do that against known anti-India terror centers, we will always be a door-mat.

You dont know what are we waiting for? Then let me explain you ....
We are waiting for another Kandahar hijack to happen so that our honourable home minister and prime minister can take this saint (Ajmal Kasav) in a private aircraft surrounded by policemen and leave him in the safe custody and then for another attack to happen......

Strangely dubukku deciple comment makes sense, the more you keep a terrorist in custody the more chances there are for bargaining over a captive. Bullshit! It pains even to think about this again. Like in mudhalvan the officers who are failing to take action or delaying should also be punished da.

Every time I read about 26/11, I ask this question myself... Why the hell he is being kept alive???

the whole world watched him doing that brutal attack... what else they need to kill him...

I think India should develop the same b*lls that the US has. Launch an all-out offensive on Pakistan, call it war on terror, kick them where it hurts the most. But before they do that, they just let this Kasab hang and die as slowly as possible!

But I wonder if India will walk away from her theory of "non-violence" and for once put an end to all this non-sense!
