Just junior things
I've often mentioned about one mokka game that me and junior play. We play act stories with a gang of companions - namely, Teddy the bear, Elly the elephant, Mangu the monkey, Chotta bheem as himself and few other folks who make adhoc appearances as per junior's wish. The thing is, he has to compulsorily play at least one "episode" each night before going to sleep and as many times as i can fit in during the day time when he is free. He is so fond of these "episodes" as he has named them after watching all those cartoons that he has a photo of himself along with his gang members stuck on our bedroom door, which has been renamed as the episode gang room. Whomever hears us play act those "scenes" would be wondering for sure what is wrong with these guys, playing with toys after all these years!! At times i feel it has become too tedious and an addiction of an activity that junior should come out of but making him laugh is something that i love and despite all the misgivings i do take part in this otherwise mokka activity.
A sample episode of how it goes in our daily routine.
Teddy is always the school teacher with Elly being the naughtiest student. Mangu is always eating banana's and speaks in a slurry tone with his mouthful and is hard of hearing at times. Chota bheem being the shortest of the lot, gets mistaken for a baby much to his irritation. There are few guests who make special appearances like Ganapati, who is the correspondent of the school, krishna who makes random visits, Spiderman who makes a guest appearance whenever he is visiting from NewYork and a whale shark who is the latest admission to the group. Teddy is seen trying to teach Tamil to the students, which is often interrupted by Elly asking silly questions. Elly insists that Tamil should be taught like how english alphabets are taught and had written his homework in that format.
When Teddy asks him to say a word for அ, Elly says "anga ezhuthiruken".
Teddy wonders "yenga"
"yenga illa anga"
"Anga na..enga ezhuthirukka"
"adhaan sonene..yenga illa anga thaan ezhuthirukken"
Teddy gets confused and is shocked looking at the home work. It goes like -
அ for Anga
இ for Inga
உ for unga
ஏ for yenga
Teddy shouts at Elly saying at least he could've tried different words for the alphabets. Despite being angry, still out of curiosity Teddy asks why it is not written ஈ for "eenga" but instead it is written "goiiinnn". For which Elly says..that is how flies (ஈ means fly in tamil) make sound and rushes away from class room evading the duster thrown at him by Teddy.
P.S: few days back junior was asking him mom what do you call Alexa if it is kept under the TV table. Wifey was thinking at a technical level and was wondering on different voice commands. Junior calmly negated those answers and said "Alexa-(u)nder". She immediately turned towards me with a look that resembled the special characters which appear on the cloud like comment box in comics espcially when the characters swear at each other. Namakken vambu nu i silently escaped!!!
