Mandatory year end post

Till I started with the title this time, I didn’t realize when the “mandatory year end post” actually became “mandatory”!! I actually checked the back dated entries and looks like it’s been the case at least since 2015! What started as a copycat attempt, reading other bloggers year ending posts, became a “tradition”! Idhelaam our pozhappanu kekapdaathu. This year was nothing different from last year, but for the same cribbing’s in professional space and losing touch with few more familiar faces on personal side. Afraid that at this rate, I could soon be the Jack Reacher of my own world – minus the Hulk-y figure and height. For the uninitiated, Jack Reacher is a character created by Lee child that is presently into its second season on Amazon Prime. Somehow it feels like a repeat of everything that has already happened in my life, be it the kind of people I get involved with or for the situations and scenarios that I undergo. I read an article about “Glitch in Matrix” kind of situations where people had written about their paranormal experiences. Majority of them sounded impossibly unreal but apparently, they were all recorded observations from the narrators. Many a time I too feel that it all seems pre-programmed and whatever is bound to happen will happen. Call it destiny, fate, or Karma or by any other name, but somehow it feels predestined, including this post for that matter! Feels like we all knew what is going to happen but somehow are forcing ourselves to stick to our imaginations as the “true” reality, pushing ourselves to do things which doesn’t really matter in the long run and wantonly be ignorant despite having the option to be self-aware! If someone does manage to break the shackles, they become godmen and end up with a huge following who would rather celebrate the enlightenment of their guru rather than try to follow the procedure themselves. Either way, I’ve no plans to break away or to continue in the rat race for I am not the planner. Whatever the Matrix called God has scripted and directed will get telecasted as life events and till the time he decides its time to pack up, what option does any have!

There was a small milestone of crossing 5 Lakh cumulative hits this year and 13K comments overall. For a kadai that has been running for more than a decade and a half, the hits seem to peak during those windows of time when there are no new posts! Oruvela kadaiya mooditaana nu check panrathukaga etti paakara crowda illa ipovachum urupidiya edachum post potrukaananu pakka vara crowda theriala. Either way, mikka nanri for all those visits and making it an even half a million! Other happy milestones being, Junior winning first level spelling bee competition only to lose out in national level, due to my screw up and panic! The roasting that I got from wifey who was the engine behind the whole attempt is beyond PG13 to be featured in this space! Junior has won yet another event in sloka recitation the second level of which will probably happen early next year. Wifey is very clear this time and wouldn’t have anything to do with me anywhere near that area! Junior loves stories and is very fond of creating his own stories is something that I wish he keeps inculcating as he grows. His way of observing things and being candid about them makes me awestruck to realize the amount of maturity he has for his age as compared to mine even now! I would love to see him develop more self confidence and strength to defend himself, for his school seems to be a magnet for attracting and patronizing bullies. Wishing him more success in this area where I’ve seen none during my time. As for the blogspot, thala continues to be the numero uno supporter and more than my posts I eagerly await his comments and insights. He has been one default aspect of this blog other than the title in which this is getting posted and possibly a key reason behind so many site hits, many of which would be to read his comments. Ipdilam maska poattu innum konjam years ottidalaamnu paatha avara konja naala kaanum. Kanda vara sollunga..thalaya comment poda kooti vaarunga for he is truly the Karnan of comments 😊

Mathabadi same to same as every year and hoping for a better year each year. Wishing the same for the visitors of this space. Hope 2024 brings you good health, joy and peace. Cya next year.

Sorry Gilsu. Hsve been travelling and therefore not been able t contribute to increasing the half a million number. Bravo. You are truly the Blog Mannan ! Incidentally, I was the one who named you Thalaiva long ago and you promptly turned the tables on me. For evidence see your blogs of some 10 years ago.

Maska always works :):) So back to blah blahing on what is your space and not mine.

Karma is that you are required to blog forever, so that we can enjoy Giilsu's Pheelings. So wishing you a million more "mandatory year end posts".

Wishing you, wifey & Junior all the best for 2024. All the three of you will flower and blossom in the coming year.
