Of advices and other vices

To stop him from watching Tv non-stop, we used to tell him that current bill will increase and we shouldn’t waste electricity. Never realized that he will take it to his heart so deep. I was taking some calls from my laptop one day and Junior was setting up his Jurassic park mylapore version nearby. I just stepped out to put my mobile on charge, immediately he came behind me and scolded me.

She responded back with “Evolovo solren..edaachum mandaila erinaa thaana” look. Eventually we asked him.

“Enna adhaan?”
“Adhaan laptop shut down panniten..good job sollu”
“goo..err..whaaaat??!!!” I Immediately rushed and could see the system shutting down.
Shock number one – ellathaiyum save paninena ila edachum poacha?
Shock number two – enakkay intha office laptopla shutdown button enga varumnu lighta doubt varum. Ivan eppo note pannan and antha button ku name kooda kedayathu!!!
Looking at the navarasa reactions on my face, junior rushed and hid behind his mom.

Excellent. The rest of the people on the call realised how useless the call is, all disconnected and praised Gilsu. Junior deserves a treat :)

Why are you wasting current, Gils? Why are you not listening to amma? more importantly, why are you telling mokka reason to junior - 'tv paatha current waste aahumaam, rubber kaathula karaiyum' nutu. Hearbeat - season 2 - review

What makes a drama series tick, in OTT, that too in Tamil? The question should've been pretty straight forward and not as difficult as it is for making a successful movie, for drama series are dime a dozen across scores of TV channels and none of them are found wanting for audience. The more the cry the merrier the TRP. In that context, the only challenge that OTT platforms might've had while streaming tamil series must've been to choose the path - either the well trodden and worn out cryathons aligning with Satellite channels or try for something genre specific like how they do across English and other foreign languages.
