Bliss – movie review

Amazon seems to have perfected the knack of picking one worst movie after another. Bliss is anything but as the name suggests, probably the end credits would’ve given that feeling for those who would’ve watched it on theater!! I hate psychedelic movies which kinds of validates drug usage and glorifies its after effects in the form of likeable hallucinations. This movie, how much ever it tries to polish itself as a psychological one, the bare to bones storyline is, how a drug addict along with his lady companion finds bliss in using those “magic crystals” and eventually joins a rehab. As the last one second scene, he is shown as a clean guy connecting back with his daughter. The “Bliss” environment gives him super powers, his favorite setup for a palatial house, warm and cold swimming pool, basically every materialistic wish he has in real world. Owen Wilson, wondering what he was actually smoking when he signed up for this movie, along with Salma Hayek has tried their damn best in making sense out of their characters. Apart from the chemistry of colorful crystals consumed by them, neither of them have any actual chemistry on screen is an altogether different manner. The movie starts with a nice setup and the within minutes, it falls into a downward spiral that only manages to dig itself deeper till the end. For majority of the close to 2 hour run time its just the lead characters alone. Wish they had been provided with a meat of a story line to perform. As a concept, how people seek bliss on everything artificial to satisfy themselves, while the very same is within them, could’ve been dealt with much better. A story with so much potential let down by such a weak attempt. Give this bliss a royal miss!!

I've a dream...

Ever since i saw "Maama Mia" in HBO..this song has been ringing in my head nonstop. Me a big fan of ABBA. That troupe has a cuteness in all their song..a refreshing sense of jolly music and nice n simple lyrics to top it all. I like most of their songs.."volevouzs","waterloo","I do I do","mama mia".."dancing queen" being the most favourite. But lyricswise..this one is my fav.. I feel its very positive in tone.. I have a dream, a song to sing, to help me cope with anything If you see the wonder of the fairy tale You can take the future even if you fail I believe in angels, something good in everything I see I believe in angels, when I know the time is right for me I'll cross the stream, I have a dream I have a dream, a fantasy, to help me through reality And my destination makes it worth the while Pushing through the darkness still another mile I believe in angels, something good in everything I see I believe in angels, whe...
