What else but corona!!!

Looking at how the ROW is scampering measures against the disease and the relative calmness in immediate neighborhood, can’t quite believe we are in the same situation. May be as a Chennai guy, I trust the cauldron city to take care of her citizens by living up to her name. It is already nearing 40 and pretty sure coming days are going to get even hotter. But apparently the virus seems to have weathered the weather!! How is it killing people? With symptoms 90% overlapping with flu, how they figure out who is infected timely? How much of the info in circulation are real and which are fake? With governments traditionally trying to put lid on such catastrophic situations by choosing to give confidence building lies, there is literally no place to go for real news. Social media has become a sewer of information and with the amount of panic churned there, people would be better of doing social media distancing along with social distancing.

To be honest, it would be a really dull way to vanish from the face of earth for a being that has literally held the entire planet at nuke point and are hell bent on wiping every single organism away to oblivion. Asteroids, tsunamis, solar flares, earthquakes, floods and other man made calamities apart, such an unseen villain, was actually  a huge let down. Never actually have been an horror movie fan and all those “Outbreak” “Contagion” movies where never on the play list. They make good novels to read though, be it as Robin cook’s or Micheal Crichton’s. Nevertheless, with countries predicting year end and possibly next year as potential timeline for getting a cure for this virus, in all probability the world map would be revamped and reshaped into pre world war one era, with economies of every major or minor country getting wiped off clean already. What makes me more scary is, the aftermath of this virus cure, which I am quite sure, somehow or other would be found soon. That is an altogether different war to be fought on an altogether different field.

On the positive side, we definitely needed this shake up to force spend time with our family, to restrict ourselves away from everyone and literally spend time at home. Not sure how much more time we may have but all it took was one guy to sneeze out loud and the entire world is on its knees and if this doesn’t make one realize the fallibility of our life and time, well, it is high time. Stay safe fellows. Hope to catch up with you all on further posts!!

I've a dream...

Ever since i saw "Maama Mia" in HBO..this song has been ringing in my head nonstop. Me a big fan of ABBA. That troupe has a cuteness in all their song..a refreshing sense of jolly music and nice n simple lyrics to top it all. I like most of their songs.."volevouzs","waterloo","I do I do","mama mia".."dancing queen" being the most favourite. But lyricswise..this one is my fav.. I feel its very positive in tone.. I have a dream, a song to sing, to help me cope with anything If you see the wonder of the fairy tale You can take the future even if you fail I believe in angels, something good in everything I see I believe in angels, when I know the time is right for me I'll cross the stream, I have a dream I have a dream, a fantasy, to help me through reality And my destination makes it worth the while Pushing through the darkness still another mile I believe in angels, something good in everything I see I believe in angels, whe...
