wooooohooooo....atlast saw the movie. WAKE UP SID... Semma expectationoda paatha padam. No disappointment at all. Sema time pass movie. Loved it. I dont think anyone else cud've done the role of Sid other than Ranbir. He is so very apt and have actually lived the role. Looks so typical spoilt aristobrat and lazy to the bone :) infact many scenes i could relate it so much to myself that the movie could as well be wake up Vid :D Konkona sen as usual rocks :) the problem with her is that..in all her movies she looks so natural in her roles that people forget that she is actually acting!! Such emotive eyes and natural smile..love her. Ranbiroda frienda vara gundu ponnu semmma sweet :) the way she fights and smiles and cuddles around..u wish you have a friend like her around you. The other friends of Ranbir are also pretty good. I love the songs in the movie..especially the title track :) having that as alarm nowadays and "Iktara" WOW...Hats off to Shankar ehassan loy. They simply rock.
Storywise its nothing big. Rich spoilt brat fails exam..fights with parents..leaves all comforts and goes out to live with his friend who falls for him and in the end they fall in love with each other. First half semma cute n sweet and porathay therila. Before you realise its interval. Second half slowa poguthu. But not boring i would say. Overall paisa vassool. Infact i would love to see it again.
Intha padam paathaprum realised..how many things i am actually missing in this city. I'vent even scratched the tip yet. Its a totally different world out here which i'vent explored yet. No company for that but still..it sounds so fun out there. Rich..lavish..carefree..and totally unlike anything i've ever seen. Kelambrathukulla should check all these atleast once :)
Also saw Achamundu Achamundu. semma disappointment. Enamo perusa solla varamathirye buildup kuduthu onumay ilama chappunu mudichitanga. That movie director is a friends friend. Adhunalaye innum neria expectation vera. Prasanna looks so natural and Sneha chaancela. But feel wasted in the movie. No story at all. Could've been more daring and better. Child abuse pathi storynu solitu there is nothing related to that in the movie. Kadhal kondenla vara mathiri on ur facea ilatiyum atleast they cud've tried something.

Came here from Aarti's and G3's blogs. I wish I was also in Chennai now....!!!! Really miss all those outings to the cinema theatre, over priced tickets, over-salted popcorn :-) etc.
Btw, nice reviews of both movies. I am waiting to see Wake up sid, and you're right, the cast is just perfect! As for the other movie, I will anyway see it simply because I like both Prasanna and Sneha!!
