once as I was speaking, my weakness in tamil showed and i used a phrase, which actually meant something else. my mom pointed it out, and followed it with a small story to show me how a play of words could mean somehting totally different. oru oorla (every story that starts like that brings back paal satham and an instant sense that i'll love it :D ) oru aal oru patthar kitta avan ootukarammavuku valayal seiyya sonaanam. athukana panamum koduthaanam. piragu andha patthar panathoda odi poitaanam. itha pathi antha oorla iruntha oru vellakaran kitta complain panna ponaanam (must have been days of the raj!). avanta poi, indha patthat kambiya neetitaanu sonaanam. athuku vellakaaran, enappa athu nallathu thaane, avan valayal seiyya thaane kambi seithanu ketka, andha aalu, illa, emathittanu solrathuku ithu oru vazhi appadinu sonaan.

More than anything, its her enthusiasm and compassionate nature to take up social causes has won her more friends and accolades. She and her hubby Su are 2 beacons midst the dim veil surrounding the might of common people. They are not super human but ordinary folks like you and me. But the deeds which they do are so magnanimous and purposeful that, on one side it makes you aware of the potential hidden in each one of us and serves as an awakening to take up better causes and on the same side, makes u feel ashamed for not having any purpose to follow.
