Just junior things
While coming back from his Karate class, Junior was in deep thought for a while. His master had just spoken about the few classes he had to skip because of his trip to native place and was advising on how risky the world out there is and how he is training his wards to defend themselves. He mentioned that by the end of the training junior will become a “bully” but a controlled one at that. The word “bully” had stuck something in his mind and junior made it clear that he had no intention of becoming one ever at all. There is a kid in his class who troubles not just junior but almost every other kid. That kid is probably of a higher age and had joined a class lesser than his actual batch. He is not just the tallest in the class but also physically big as well. He torments the kids to the extent that some of the kids had formed a “self defence force” to protect themselves from that bully kid.Junior said he was very angry with that kid bullying him. Nee badiluku ennada panna keta he said he reported him to class teacher and then to vice principal. They've scolded that kid which has only enraged him. But as per junior it is one of the worst punishment to get scolded that too from school people. So he feels that due sentence has been given to that kid. Little does he realize that the bully is now more focused on tormenting him for being a tattletale. Now that the sub context is done, back to the topic.
I was telling junior that he will always be a good kid and by controlled bullying the master only meant to defend oneself and not to hurt anyone willfully. Junior said that ‘Fighting is never the answer, and it should be talking/arguing to solve any problem”. I was almost sure he must have mugged this up from somewhere or his class teacher would’ve told them. When I asked where he learnt that saying he said that is the moral of the story. I queried further and he said it was from Mahabaratha!! I was wondering how is that the moral for that story when he said that had Pandavas forgiven Kauravas kurkshetra war itself could’ve been avoided!!! Idhellam engendhuda padicha nu ketta Mahabaratha for kids nu Devdutt Patnaik bookla padichanam!! When he narrated the whole story to his mom and paati, everyone was looking at me as if I am the culprit in this story!! Neeyum irukkiye ipdi enikachum edachum urupidia sollirukia illa pannirukia nu they started comparing me with him!! Enna koduma Saravana idhu!!

As for mom and patti - retort back that they should be happy that the son is better than the earlier generation, which is how the natural order of things are. Suggest to them that it would have been a disaster if he was only as good as his mom or patti !!
