KGF2 – movie review
Possibly the highest or second highest grossing Indian movie ever at box office. Apdi oru padatha pathi review pannama vitta saami kutham aaidum endra kaaranthaal this post. Having seen KGF one (which is quite accessible. All you need is a TV with Colors tamil channel subscribed. They use this movie as ad break amongst their other programs), I was waiting for a good print or some OTT to stream the movie. Anti-piracy apdinulam illa. The setting and the picturization has been royally rich on every aspect of movie making but for color! Even in the era of black and white film, this movie would’ve been termed as black and black. For a story based on gold mining, the setup looks as if they are working on Neyveli lignite!! Atta kari everywhere. Finally when KGF2 was released on Prime, started watching the movie. With runtime of almost 3 hours, was wondering the number of man hours people worldwide have spent on this movie, taking it into the 1000 crore BO collection club, feeling proud of my own contribution to those burgeoning hours. First few minutes into the movie, villains varaanga. The more important or dangerous the villain, the slower they walk and talk. I think they wanted every character to exhibit swag, right from light boys and clap boys to every actor passing by on the frame, all of them exude that sense of swag, makes it bit weird. Aacha. Coming to the dialogues spoken by the characters – every alternate line is a punch. Having seen the response for the previous part, I believe the makers had gone over drive into creating cult one liners for every character. Finally comes the hero on screen. Being the hero, obviously he walks even slower in ultra slo-mo, with the camera taking its own sweet time to figure out the face amidst that amazon rainforest of a beard and neatly combed hair. He speaks very less and only in punches, obviously. He then walks away from that room, again in ultra slo-mo. All these happen within the first half hour of the movie, that actually took me a week to watch. Then I found a short cut. All you need to do is go have your tea or attend your concall or even take a quick nap when any of those numerous fights are about to start. You can come back and still see the henchman flying in the air, yet to land, from the punch given by the hero. Possibly the slowest of slo-mo methods used to picturize, glorifying the power of the hero. Ipdiye oru one week poachu and finally I landed at the interval scene. In between gap la the gory villain of the lot, fully clad in costume discarded from Game of Thrones and Outlander sets, carrying a gun that would give unfair advantage on any rifle shooting competition. If you stand at your mark with this gun, the end of the barrel would be nudging the bulls eye a bit. Avlooooo periya gun. Adha vachu he shoots the hero after taking a careful aim!! Adei..andha gunnoda other end, rest aagaratha andhay hero mela thanada..idhuku edhuku aim!! Aaatama pudichi trigger amukkina porathaa!!! After getting hit, the hero recovers quicker than the bullet that was fired and gets into an alliance with another villain. Again slo-mo, again punch dialogue. By this time, you should’ve figured out the reason for the 3 hours run time. Lighta fast forward panni eduthruntha motha padamum one hourla mudinjirukum nenakren. Ipothaikku have completed about 1 hour and 45 minutes of the movie. Innum sila pala weeks aagum motha padamum mudikka. Adhukulla kadhai maranthirum enbadhaal this hurried post!! Heard that the hero kept the same beard for all through the making of the film and finally managed a shave once the second part got released. Enakenamo daily shave panni set kulla poirunthalum, by the time the scene got canned, his beard would’ve grown back to original size nu thonuthu!!
P.K (PinKurippu) – avasarappatu yaaarum auto laam anupaa venam. When entire world was going ga-ga over that movie, wanted to post a spoof version. Avlovay.

As the hero is slo mo walking, can I speculated how many subscriptions Gilsu has ? - Netflix, Prime, Disney, Hotstar, Sony Liv, Zee5, Voot, ALTBalaji, BigFlix, Ullu, SunNXT, .........
Also trying to speculate how many films Gilsu might have watched - 13,467 ?
