Tears in heaven
Eric clapton would have sung it on a different tune...Yesterday was another sad day on the history of Mumbai..some heartless creatures let out mayhem on the suburban trains..for a change the news channels decided to leave out the gore of the situation and concentrated on helping the victims in communicating..nice deed..i really dont understand the motive behind such terrorist attacks...wat do they think??if they detonate a few bombs.. a country of 100 crore people will beg before them and offer watever these misguided wrongly motivated soulless creatures demand on a platter? NEVER is the answer. And it should be told loud and clear so that those deaf ears can hear.
In a recent mock survey Mumbai was voted 35th in etiquette and courteousness..the people who did the survey shd've seen the mumbiakars yesterday in action..strangers giving lift to stranded people...offering their mobiles so that the passengers of those ill fated trains can communicate...queuing up at hospitals to donate blood...autowallahs dropping people at their places for free...We should salute the spirit of Mumbaikars...harder they are hit...tougher they become and get up with more vigour and strength..whether its natural calamity like last years rains..or heartless brutual attacks like this...their spirit is undying and only grows more in strength...
Its high time the people who encourages such acts realise that with terror they can only get back what they are sowing..however just their cause is. I used to have my reservations on capital punishment..feel even the gruesome of deaths is a minmal punishment for people who have done such a dastardly act.

of course, i sound pretty negative when i fault ourself rather than faulting the fanatics who did this.. but you see.. any problem has two parties primarily.. and when the problem remains unsolved both the parties have to take the blame..
when one is rich ..
one can forfeit some money for rest..
or
one can always say, the rest dont deserve this wealth..
its really fantastic predicament da.. sometimes we are willing to give sometimes we are not willing ...
remember reading Lee Iacocca's book sometime back.. in which he said "when i am broke i think like a democrat(someone who thinks like a socialist/communist i.e state should look after its citizens). when i am wealthy i think like a republican(someone who thinks like a capitalist i.e state cannot act as a charity organization)"
let me know what you feel about the two examples i gave i.e the rich one and the iococca one..
i think democracy is basically a faulty system. I am not sure whether there are any better alternatives available for this.. :-(
majority is always right in democracy.. and majority always calls the shots.. so, you could be right but if you are in a minority then.. no use.. you will be rolled-over by this huge bandwagon called democracy..
